Afternoon guys..:) Ok LED 5 watt ip65 Rated down lighters. My question is - what is the min distance from top of unit to an insulated cold water pipe (copper with foam lagging - the lagging is non combustible) do you reckon 50mm is enough? I can board just below it with 12.5mm PB thus this will result in a min distance from plasterboard to top of unit - if I cant do this I will have to fit in another part of the ceiling which will result in non symmetrical light positioning. Thanks for any inputs which may occur.

Also do these LED down lighters run appreciably cooler then the halogen counterparts - you know MR16 12v, and 230v GU10 etc? - Cheers lads.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions which probably say 50mm clearance around the fitting, but you can check that by reading them..
