lightning scarf joint in roof ridge

    is there any picture of the above joint to be had in this section?

    Thank you joiner john, I was going to use a metal fish plate on both sides but the building inspector said he thought the scarf joint was better.

    There are easier joints that are as strong, that's so old school it's Egyptian.

    Dear Chippie 244, thanks for your observation. If the ancient Egyptians used it with success then it must have a history of at least four thousand years of good service. Anyway who wants to upset a building inspector?
