I've recently moved house and one of the switches on the 4 gang light switch in my kitchen has broken off. When I removed the existing switch to replace it, the wiring was as below, does this look right?!

All the switches are working fine but it just didn't look right to me, plus one of the black wires was just hanging loose (I have since covered with electrical tape). Switches 3 and 4 control the ceiling lighting and switches 1 and 2 control the under cabinet and glass cabinet lighting.

Many thanks for any advice. Switch.jpg

  2. You obviously have a junction box/boxes where the 3 cores go to and run from there to the lights.

Perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with it. Transpose exactly from one switch to the next.
