    Hi all.
I am looking for advice as I would like to render the front of my bungalow and then paint it.

Generally, I am able to plaster internal walls to a half decent standard but I wouldn't attempt a ceiling.

My bungalow is made of standard brick and its mostly small sections between the doors, windows, porch etc. Nothing big that I could have trouble smoothing out.

What is generally used to render and to what ratios? Is it just sand / cement? What is used as the pva type?

Just thought I'd have ago as I have always wanted to try and there are plenty of areas I could have a trial go first.

    Thanks all for any advice.

I expect so. Not sure if you just add waterproofer or do you paint anything on the wall first as well?
