Have been asked to look at refixing someone aerial cables outside after they had there soffits replaced. they don't like the idea of conduit and asked for trunking. Am i right in thinking that trunking will crack or warp when fitted outside due to the elements etc. Has anyone got any other ideas (good ones) any help gratefull

What type of exterior wall is it Sparky..ie is it pebble dashed, or rendered, or bricks showing etc etc

After we ascertain this, then perhaps a suitable method of fixing the AE cable to the wall can be ascertained.

    Don't risk it, pal......

get a Part P, TV Engineer to do it for you......

  10. figaro you need a clip round the ear,

Neatest place if possible, for an aerial downlead is behind a downpipe, with colour coordinating cable ties.

Don't fancy the trunkin, rather clip it.

Well you could use SWA cleats behind the pipe..ok a bit of scrunging here and there, and perhaps the downpipe might pull of the wall a bit..but what the eck like..:)

Didn't the O/P say five downleads?

So, where will he find five drain pipes on the same wall?

What a shame..lovely pebble dash with cables going up it.

You must be able to quote on an interior run? this will preserve the exterior aesthetics of the establishment Sparky

  16. Plastic gutters, plastic soffits, plastic bumpers, we live in a plastic world...slap it in, and quit worrying.

Use one of those wall chasers..be careful of flying dash though Sapaky.
