The worktop supplier kindly threw in a tube of colorfill - but none of the colorfill solvent it tells you to use to wipe away any excess. (fairy snuff, only spent £300 I suppose!)

Any idea what can be used as an alternative? White spirit, meths etc - I'm sure something else must be pretty identical...

    cheers in advance

Use Upvc solvent cleaner , from tool station- cost about 3 quid for a litre bottle. Do a test first , you can get some really **** printed finish worktops that may cause finish to fade . All decent tops no problem .
