Appliances with the wrong fuse in plug.

    I agree Sean, It is a SMPSU so it is not like a huge inductive load of the old 50hz transformers. If you look at computer PSU's (also SMPSU's) They have a huge output current and yet are almost always supplied with a mains lead fitted with a 5 amp fuse.

    Bazza isn't wrong in what he said, The document does state an inrush of <40A but, I'm dubious of the accuracy of that document. The documentation on the CTEK site and what was supplied with the charger does not list an inrush current and other details such as the input voltage are different too.

    unless I need more sleep that tells me that the inrush is less than 40A - which means it could be tiny

    i always swap the fuses for the smallest size it will work with
    i have 1a 3a 5a 7a 10a and 13a
