    Hi all.

Just bought a monobloc tap to replace my existing tap. Plumber has installed it and when he tried it he said the hot water pressure was to much for the tap as it came out like a geyser. He is saying that its not suitable for a high pressure combi boiler system. Says its because instead of it being a cast spout it has a rubber tube or tubes running through the spout. Is he talking nonsense or is he right?

    Thanks people.

Maybe, some taps are not designed for high pressures but usually it is the other way round with HP taps installed on LP systems. There should be an isolation valve in the supply pipes to the tap, try turning that down a bit to reduce the ferocity at the spout.
