I have a pump fitted to boost the hot and cold supply to my bath

It cuts in for a moment when the hot water to the bathroom basin or downstairs sink is turned off. In fact it seems to operate 2 or 3 times in quick succession for a second or two

Any ideas on what might cause this and how to fix please?

That is normally caused by limescale in the pump and is referred to as hunting, this can be over come by having non return valves fitted on the hot and cold.;)
