Took me a few hours to work out, but thought if there was any program avbailable to help set out the brickwork?
Now that's a interesting question, was researching something similar earlier this year, seen a old wall & intrestrested how it was done. Poking around I found this: http://www.rob-technologies.com/en/company/news/brickdesign
This is a good site for all the different types of bonds. http://www.geograph.org.uk/article/Brick-bonds
There only so many types of bonds, some of the Monks Bond, you don't see much around here, but there are some good books available on decorative brickwork & gauged brickwork around, some may be long out of print through, so try Ebay. http://www.associationofbrickworkcontractors.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Brick-Bonds.pdf http://books-for-brickwork.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/english-bond_03.html Gerard Lynch has several books out, his Gauged Brickwork is a good book, but expensive.
I do have a Fisco brick mate tape measure, which measures blocks as well as bricks (215mm). Maybe I think too much. the best way is probably to dry lay out the brick work first, that's what the bricklayer did this morning to save cutting the bricks, just opened up the perps.
