Is the blue circle cement sold at Wickes suitable for bricklaying mix? Also 2 types of sand available are brown & yellow, which is the soft sand I need for the mix? Thanks

If the Blue circle is Ordinary Portland Cement then yes.

The sand needs to be a soft sand, which I would say is the yellow one, the brown one sounds as if it been heated, so is maybe a kiln dried one, for Block Paving/Play pits.:)

Don't think its OPC from Wickes Phil, just seen Travis Perkins do it so I'll buy everything from there. Thanks for the advice

Wickes blue circle is OPC, just bagged as general purpose. :)
