Built in wardrobes on tanked out walls?

I want to build a built in wardrobe but 2of the 3 walls have been tanked out(the other one is an internal breeze block wall adjoining the airing cupboard). Is fixing batons to the ceiling and floor the only way to make the casing and would this be strong enough? Are any adhesives strong enough to hold batons to the tanked out wall? I am using old internal ledge and brace doors which are quite heavy so the construction needs to be sturdy! I think this project may be a bit ambitious for me but any advice I can give the joiner would be great. Thanks
