He's hopeless but maybe he can't have remembered all the facts and figures. Unfortunately if he gets into power, the country will be broke very quickly following his "borrow and splurge" policies and if Kim Jon Un hears about him winning he'll be really happy to launch some missiles at us.

The man seems a decent and genuine person.
But I do not agree with his vision and do not think he is the right person to lead our country.

  4. If admitting you dont know the exact answer off the top of your head is a disaster, then I guess the alternative is to prefer somebody who would change the subject to avoid answering? Or to just lie?

Talk about a mountain out of a molehill.

I dont know anybody on here who has expressed their support of Corbyn. But to claim that example as being a disaster actually weakens logical argument against him.

Argue against his policies, thats a sensible position. But for the lack of a figure off the top of your head?

Its like being in a chat with the taxman and not knowing exactly what turnover you had last year. Its written down, its available, its above board, but its escaped your mind. And if you say the wrong figure, you are accused of lieing.

Open your eyes and brains people !

Talk about being led by the press !

  5. Absolutely, JoT.

I am amongst the many who do not support him and want him out of his position asap - so, tragically, half of me is hoping Labour do badly. I accept - tentatively - that he is sincere and genuine in his ambitions for the country, but I don't consider him leadership material at all, and his cabinet are full of HUGELY weak individuals.

But then there's the Maybot. As much as Corbyn is receiving 'sincere' plaudits, so is May suffering the exact opposite - she is increasingly seen as devious, dishonest, U-turning, defensive, shrill and panicky. She does not answer questions directly, but just exclaims over and over again that "Nothing's changed!" - which is, of course, a pile of nonsense.

What a perfect storm - I cannot even choose between them using my usual 'lesser of two evils' system :(.

Wow, there's something new,, "politician changes their mind" (not) Corbyn is/ was a committed Eurosceptic, right up until the Referendum, when he changed his mind. Suddenly the EU was everything great and good.. What revelation did he have? Could it have been the thought of losing somewhere to find a nice, well paid, political job once Labour turn him out to pasture? (surely he must have seen the nice earners other politicians cast into the wilderness have raked in from the EU? )

Apparently we live in the EU (for now anyway) , but yes you're almost correct. It's just like a republic. :p:p

As opposed to May who campaigned to stay in?
    What are your motivations JJ?
You don't like Corbyn because he was eurosceptic like you but decided to go with the will of the 52%.
You do like May who was pro Europe but then decided to be a leaver if it meant she had a shot at the top job.
You love the NHS but want to vote for the party who want to sell it to their mates so they can get a nice directorship or consultancy job after they leave politics.
Try some joined up thinking for once.

Socialism doesn't work, chip's. Yes, it's a wonderful concept, but it just doesn't work in the long run.
Money has to come from somewhere and Corby can't tell us where that somewhere is. He may try to convince us all that taxing the rich will achieve his aims, but in the end it's a self defeating idea. You surely must understand this?

Where is May's money coming from? She won't say, more borrowing? How much has the countrys debt increased since the tories took over?

Not quite Chip. Corbyn chucked himself in with the 48%'s I did like Corbyn when he was Eurosceptic. I don't like his views on defence, nuclear power etc (just want's to decimate these)
No wonder his maths isn't very good though, he learnt maths from Diane Abbott when he was cuddling up to her.
Where in the Conservative manifesto does it say they want to dismantle the NHS and make it private? Can you link to the page that states this please?

Where's May's money coming from to fund what?
She isn't the one who's proposing massive social investment that has to be paid by some non-existent means.

Over the last seven years the Tories have reduced the national deficit by two thirds compared to what they inherited from the previous, labour government. The 'only' way of ever having a hope in hell to reduce the debt is striving towards the goal of a surplus, as the Conservatives are doing now and have been doing since gaining power.
All that Corby is proposing will not only increase the deficit, but also increase the debt.
The deficit needs to become a surplus in order to reduce the overall debt.
    No other way, I'm afraid.

Who mentioned that example was a disaster ?, can only see that you mentioned it Jack!

Led by the press? The interview was there for all to see, his ineptitude was mind boggling can you imagine Corbyn and his ex girlfriend arguing our case with other world leaders?

The national debt has been rising continuously, regardless of who has been in Government.
