First of all let me state that I am a DIYer and that I infrequently use this router. The instruction booklet bit says that there are no serviceable parts for this piece of equipment but I'm sure it must be possible to change the carbon brushes. So what I'd ideally like is someone to tell me it is possible to change the carbon brushes by doing... and replacing them with ... size brushes. What I don't want is someone saying Don't waste your money on this tat You pay for what you get Buy a Makita it will save you money in the long run
The Erbauer I looked at came with spare brushes. I seem to remember the brush tube caps were exposed too so just needed undoing with a flat screwdriver.
Might be worth contacting these people, they supplied brushes for my "Pro" B&Q own brand chop-saw. http://www.solenttools.co.uk/p0/carbon-brushes/314050.htm
