Hello, I need to have a couple of rooms carpeted, but the floors are quarry tiles. In a house I lived in before it had a galvanized all metal carpet gripper around the perimeter that was designed to be nailed low down to the skirting boards, it seemed like a good design & a good way of attaching it on a solid floor, it had probably been there for over 40 years, but I cannot find this type of gripper anywhere online, is it still available? I can only find the normal wooden gripper, with spikes.

You could use normal carpet gripper if the carpet was cut neatly. Its the bending of the nails that secures the carpet.

But, glue works just as well.
