    The rubbery ribbed stuff.

My mate works in s carpet shop, and when we have order carpets from him, he has always said to not get the underlay from the shop, but let the fitters supply it. Same cost but better quality. I think the shop sold Cloud9 underlay.

Just had carpets fitted on Friday, the fitter said that the best stuff was cloud9 underlay as it doesn't flatten like the rubber stuff? who knows I hope he's right though

I used the PU foam stuff. Feels great and was easy to fit. A friend of mine (carpet fitter) told me that as long as i get a good thickness, 10mm or above, it will last and perform as well as anything. Got mine from www.thecarpetrange.com on next day delivery
