I bought a 1200W invertor to charge my tools from my van,
put it on a relay so it only runs when the vans on and you
don't need to worry about it again.

Inverters are the way to go.

I bought and fitted one of These for my Van.

It charges all my tools and even boils an 1800w Kettle for those essential brews!

This is a picky of it connected to the Makita charger.

Needed 50mm Tri-rated tails which you can see in the photo back to the battery though! :^O

Nope cause the Kettle needs a big supply ;)

It was hard enough finding a Kettle with an 1800 watt element as it was, most are 2200-3000 watt! :(

Jeez Sine, couldn't you find anything bigger ;D

Mine won't boil a kettle but it keeps my batteries
    nicely topped up.

Not a good thing to accidently leave on by the way, a
good reason to fit a relay in the Live feed to it !

It'll run most 230V power tools as well if required, however prolonged use would require a 'Deep discharge leisure' battery.

At the mo I'm getting away with the standard Van battery nicely! ;)

Flippin heck Sine........my brother said your van was rammed full to bursting point :)

My little Berlingo is now struggling under the ammount of kit loaded on it, but I also use an inverter to charge the drill & radio batts. No worries about draining the vehicle battery as I've fitted a battery guard.

Cheers for the job up Warrinton by the way, my brother was well chuffed to get it sorted so quick.
Sorry it had turned into more of a job than I had left it as.

No probs matey, I always carry an array of 'emmergency get out' options for just such occasions.

    Glad I had a Wylex 16A push in MCB on-board, can't have a SWA sub-main to a garage spurred off a 32 amper now can we! ;)
