Screw through boards into joists - check pipe and cable runs and mark on boards

Plenty of wood glue on the joints - helps to prevent future squeaking

Yozzer, don't screw too far into the chipboard. The inner core of chipboard is softer than the surface and will allow movement and hence squeaking. Leave the screw on the surface.

Chippies generally use d4 foaming glue on the joints makes a good job and guaranteed no squeaks. Dave makes a good point, mark your cable and pipe positions on the flooring.

    Good luck
