Morning guys. Its nearly time for me to purchase a consumer unit for my extension and was wondering if any of you have used the BG type as below - http://www.screwfix.com/p/bg-10-way...ed-insulated-consumer-unit-dual-63a-rcd/72088 Seems good value for money and the reviews look favourable. Do you reckon it is ok? Thanks lads for any feedback that might transpire.
Fitted loads. Only dislike is graunchy screws on N and E bars. They're bad. But... I like the space in them and the case is a more solid one than Wylex/MK (though MK have improved this last few months). Plus the other one to swing it is the price.
My choice would be Denmans Curve 14-way pre-loaded with 8 RCBOs (1 x 40, 3 x 32, 1 x 16, 3 x 6). That's the 10-way version in my logo.
Most boards are going to be tight for space if you flood it with RCBOs! You should opt for a commercial 'type A' board instead.
