   Hi, we moved into a house which had an old gas fire. BG came to service it but condemned it as they said the plasterwork in it was cracked, therefore fumes would be escaping. We want to keep the fire, but unsure how we can repair this.
   What type of tradesperson would I need?

   Post a photo of the fire, then we can identify it, & whether it can be repaired safely or is worth repairing due to it's age or spares no longer available.
