I need some advice. I would like to know if it is possible to cut a doorway into what I think you would call a pervious concrete wall. It is the external wall of my house.

Are you sure about it being pervious concrete as that is usually used on the ground?

Not all concrete is impervious, some concrete is pervious, designed to be porous, allow water to soak through to drain away, used for drive footpaths, runways, etc.

I think the OP is actually referring to a "no fines " wall construction. (old council houses were built using this method) A right nightmare to work on. Had a kitchen to fit in a "no fines" house once. Could hardly drill the external walls to fit the wall hangers for the cupboards. (well at least a straight hole) ;);););)

I'd second that for no fines concrete, an absolute swine to work on. You could knock an opening in it but you would have to cast a concrete lintel in-situ. Be careful though as when you start knocking it, it comes away in bits and sometimes big bits. Use a cut off saw if poss.

For future reference what have you found to be the best products to Drill / Cut "No Fines Concrete" ??
