Dark Edges Around Window Frames Since Painting

    Hi,

    I was wondering if anyone had seen anything like this before? Since painting, the paint seems to have darkened around the window. This goes right the way up and seems to bleed out further at different points.

    Any advice is much appreciated!

    That looks like damp to me, can you post a pic that shows the window in more detail.

    Sure, thanks for looking. How would one go about removing / fixing it? Couple more pictures attached.

    Check the sealant around your windows isn't broken

    I would also check the wall and roof above if you have cavity walls it could be running down the cavity and hitting the frame which may not have a proper cavity tray above.

    Defo damp. Left like that the paint will very soon flake into a powdery mess.
