I reckon it'll be back in this country within the next 50 yrs. The death penalty shall be for, A, non believers of the one true faith. B Believers of the one true faith, but the wrong faction of that one true faith. C, Adulterers(but only the female of the species) and D, women who make an accusation of rape. (this will be termed sex outside of marriage, or adultery, depending on the status of the accuser) Reckon I've covered the usual bases there. (it there's owt I've forgot. please let me know) Nuff said.

 

You know, as a Catholic, i am supposed to say, no to the death penalty but to be honest, if someone is 100% guilty then why should they live? What would God do? I have no idea. Turn the other cheek?

Look, i may have a strong faith in God but, i also believe in justice.

Pedo's should all be tattooed as such on their foreheads!!!

Rapists should have their tackle cut off.

Is that Christian of me? Guess not but i do feel strongly about these things. The law is weak.

 

The mad thing is we pay thousands to keep them in prisons.

 

I'm not sure about the original question, but I'm pretty sure I don't want the state killing people just because it's cheap.

Anyway, I thought it cost the USA more to kill prisoners than to lock them up for life. Not sure why - you'd think the USA would qualify for a bulk discount.

 

Good idea in princple the death sentence, cheaper than keeping person in prison for life, I'm in favour of it, were it proven 100%, but with some murders, the killer would be seen as a martyr, especially in a terrorism act with mass killing.

Here,here, I just mention terrorism, which could be done by any reglion or colour of skin, I'm NOT singling out muslims.
