Sorry devil, its very spikey and in an awkward position. We want to lay turf on the area around the round patio for the kids to run around.
If you have kids, look at laying Astroturf instead of real grass, I have it, its amazing and what's more no cutting.
This is one thing I've really wanted for our garden but it costs a fortune so have persuaded myself not to get it.....now you show me this How much did it cost you and when did you get it done? What do you do about debris and poo poo? Does it not get too hot in the summer?
Don't forget the landscaping fabric under the astroturf though. my neighbour did and now he has to mow it.
Astro turf can be quite reasonable price, all depend on it's weight per metre, finish, & pile height, seen it from £10 per sq mtr up to around £50 per sq metre, probably other weights available that are more expensive or maybe cheaper. https://www.touchofgrass.co.uk/ http://tigerturf.com/uk/
The initial cost is quite high but long term it pays for itself, the turf I used was £25M2, but others costs are involved, you need good drainage for a start, mine wasn't so I dug down 200mm, laid a one way membrane, 170mm of 20mm stone, more membrane, 30mm Sharp sand compacted with a vibrating plate, screened it level, then another layer of membrane and the turf, its been down 3 years now and looks as good as the day it was done. If your garden is good draining then you can level it out with topsoil, membrane, sand, membrane, turf.
Believe it can be laid over decking to do away with the slippery surface. So much prefer the smell of fresh cut grass though.
Yes,Magnesium Sulphate, never think of it as Epsom Salts, drill a ring of deep holes with a large diameter bit around the stump, then fill, some plug holes, I just leave openm but cover, so you can top up. The stronger the concentration the better.
I bought this stuff to use on quite a few budliea stumps, drilled a few holes in the stump and then pored some into it, placed cling film over it and sellotaped over. There is some stuff oozing out, dont know if its sap. Will try to get some epsom salts too as have a few more to do later on.
