   Does anyone know if the integrated dishwasher steam deflectors are just for wooden and laminate worktops or if they need to also be used on quartz, solid surface etc.
   
   Had some quartz fitted today which raised the debate, personally i don't fancy drilling into it to fix it.

   I still fit them above every Integrated D/W that I fit, no matter what the worktop is made of. They don't need to be drilled to fix them to a Quartz worktop, just stick them up with neutral cure silicone. Just hold the deflector in place with tape until the adhesive sets.
