    hi

i'm just building my patio and currently building the perimiter wall. on one side i have a wall that is only 2 to 3 courses high and 4.5m long. would i need a brick pier in the middle of it or is it not required at that height? also along one side i have a 6m long wall that is about 5-6 courses high, would a set of steps be adequate in the middle of the run instead of a brick pier?

    any advice appreciated

    Hi
I am a DIY builder. There is no need for any piers in a wall of either of those heights. Especially if the location is a normal sheltered back garden. To be absolutely sure look in the Planning Portal and download Approved Document - A Structures.
