First, can anyone advise what weight normal kitchen drawer runners are usually rated at please? Second, I'm looking for good quality draw runners that are **not** made of pressed tin that have a max life expectancy of a year or so. I need the runners to extend by about 450mm -600mm from their fixed position. Hopefully if I get some with a good weight carrying capacity (I have seen some that carry 50 - 65Kg), they'll last 20 plus years under normal domestic use. Thanks in advance
Even so it depends on what they are to be fixed to. If its a timber frame of sufficient size and screws to match it will probably do its maximum duty. But a 18mm chip board panel won't take much, so these would need to be strengthened quite a bit.
I've always used Accuride... Although they dont seem to sell to tradesmen direct, you'll find most of them here - https://www.locksonline.com/buy/Accuride-High-Quality-Runners-14477.html I believe they go super heavy duty into the multiple hundreds of kilos holding capacity but I've never needed anything that intense..
