   Hi I bought a dewalt drill 7 months ago which the chuck is now stuck completely open on it. If I return this to screwfix will it be swap for a new one or set of for repair, leaving me without a drill.

   Mickel, does the chuck have a securing screw down in the middle to hold it in place? If so, check it hasn't come loose. Happened to me, and the screw head basically got in the way of the jaws.
   
   Oh, it'll likely be a reverse thread...
