Need to drill a 25-28mm hole in 2" corian.

Thinking of using a diamond core drill.

Anyone got experience of drilling corian please?

Starret type holesaw will do fine just run it slowly, any type of grit/diamond edge will just melt the corian and clog up the bit. You could use a router, simple jig, guide bush and straight bit but the holesaw will be the easiest.

If it for a tap hole then its worth checking whats under the top layer of corian as you may need a larger hole for a backnut and will not be able to center the drill if you have already drilled right through.

Corian ROUTER cuters may be TCT but so are most other router cutters more for wear resistance and keeping an edge. The oly real difference is they have nylon coated bearings so they don't mark the corian and there are a few special profiles for waterfall edges, bonded in basins etc.
