Hello....i m living in my house for 20 years as there is no earthing done now since we r using inverter there is little electric current in kitchen tap water....we checked with tester but it was not shown even we opened the kitchen electric board there was no open wire....y it is there?
Is the installation earthed? Are extraneous conductive parts within the installation bonded? If not then it is dangerous.
As a minimum requirement, your incoming water (gas/oil) pipework must be bonded back to your fuseboard/Consumer unit If this is not apparent then this is the reason for the leaky current you are receiving Get it sorted
Hmmmm - electrical resistivity of tap water - I can see that a possible voltage could be measured on the metal tap spout due to bad earthing etc, but the tap water itself showing a PD? - the whole topic smells of a windup tbqh.
Why is it thought that there is an electrical charge in the tap water? Tests aren't showing anything so what else could it be?
I'm not so sure. The DNO here require it to be external from the DB, i.e. in an ISCO. They can actually refuse to connect the supply if it isn't.
