    Hi

I have never purchased this before.

Am interested in recommendations regarding suppliers. I have only really heard negative feedback regarding the likes of Wickes and Magnet. Don't know what people think of the limited options at Howdens.

Some positive recommendations would be good.

I am looking for a wide oak oiled finish. Going for a neutral look as I will probably sell in about 5 years. So not after on trend looks like grey that is in style at present.

Looking for something that should be timeless.

I have attached a link to the kind of look I like.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

This spring we have booked with company that supply from a huge variety of different engineered wood floors and laminates. They had a promo offer that's probably still available - after we hired their team to lay down the flooring, they made us a good discount. We are also fans of the oak's appearance so I can encourage you to go for it. I think it will always be a stylish choice. This is the site of the flooring company: https://www.flooringfirst.co.uk/wood-floor-fitting/supply-and-fit-engineered-wood-flooring.html . Give them a call and explain what you are looking for.

Sam, let me tell you about the internet. Some people on the internet's anonymity to promote goods and services under false identities. It's shocking, but true.

You appear here using a stock avatar[1] and your first post promotes a company. So, people get suspicious.

Now, Iron_Mike did solicit recommendations. It's not like your post was off topic or unsolicited, so it's possible that your post was genuine and intended to promote a company that you like, but are not associated with.

Here's a tip. Next time, before promoting an organization, take some time to embed yourself within the online community.
    Try these:
    • Insult the suggestions of others
    • Cast cryptic (but not too cryptic - the people on here aren't that bright) aspersions on the intelligence of other members[2]
    • Mock people's opinions whilst finding creative workarounds to the swear filters

You'll know when you've been accepted when:
    • You've started an argument between two experienced tradespeople about something that you don't really care about (which screw for hinges or pinkgrip vs gripfill - something like that)
    • DA's called you a Nazi
    • There will be 12 pages of replies from JoT insisting that you didn't answer his question (which you can't remember)

One you've unlocked these achievements (and, if you've done it correctly, you should be involved in some blood feuds which will take generations and UN intervention to resolve) then you can promote a company.

Sublime response. Yes, I saw what you did there. And you seem to have sold out of the Viagra.

Dear lord, you made my day. So, following your guidelines from the previous post, If I were to call your suggestion simply i-to the-d-to the-iotic, and insult your intelligence, because I failed to realize how genius your post is, would I have already fulfilled the requirements for fitting in with the community ? 'Cause that's gotta be 3 for 1.

I guess that would leave me waiting to be wrongly accused of being a Nazi. It's k, I can wait :c

Can your company do the whole room in solid wood floor. Want to create a log cabin effect in my bedroom. I did click laminate it all but several planks have now fallen from the ceiling - one of which gave the wife a right thwack on the ****.

Also it would be good to see out the window again. I forgot to cut round it and can't remember where it is.

    Thanks.
