    Evening.

Im shortly installing a new CU, to replace two 3036 boxes - whats the best way to extend the current cables?
I was thinking din rail connectors, but am unsure if they are man-enough for showers and cookers...

    Ta.

If your moving the cu can't you run new tails or summit? Try to get it so you don't need to extend the cables?

Well, the two cu's arealmost a metre apart, so some will need extending.

Yeah i'll be putting new tails in but the existing cables will deffo need extanding...

Can't be more than a couple of high power ctts can it? Can't you sort off shift things about so the 2.5mm and 1mm ctts are crimped and extended with the higher ctt's going direct to the new cu?

I would prolly use 2 new cu's, try to replace the first one then run a sub main to the second and replace "in situ".
