  3. Nice.

That'll be from their Historical range.

I prefer Touching Cloth from their Hysterical range myself.

Yeah! good looking combination of colours, sack the kiddy in the doorway though, he's not making you any dosh standing their.

  6. I have that exact dado rail in my own hallway also in white, but with lighter colours in a grey range above and below. I've been thinking for a while that it's a bit dull.

I'm gonna have to repaint...

How would you describe the 'Drop Cloth' tone, Dr? Is it slightly mossy green? Or grey or what?

It does look very nice... :)

    D A,

    Thanks

    Lovely colour imo,

It depends on how much daylight exposure, up top where there is more natural light, it look a bit on the grey side, downstairs a bit on the greenier side.

  8. Aw maaaaan. You mean I'm gonna have to buy F&B's own paints... :(

    Hmmm, it is nice tho'.

    Sigh...

    Yea, the genuine product mate.

The replicas are not even close

  10. I presume 'matt' finish for both above and below?

Ah, I chust looked it up on their website. It's really very close to what I already have - a kind of pale grey/hessian colour, so not worth me trying.

I would love a light moss green/grey colour, tho'...

(EDit - found my old thread. I think it was called 'willow white' or similar. http://community.screwfix.com/threads/looking-for-colour-ideas.155917/#post-1330432 )

    D A,

    F & Ball Modern Emulsion (2coats)

Slightly harder wearing as in hallway

1 coat of Wall & Ceiling Primer, (mid tones), very important gives it maximum depth and integrity.

  14. I'm sure it's decent paint, Dr.

Had a hellish issue with their 'chalky' emulsion which I used when we first moved in to our current house - touching up any marks was a no-no...

Anyhoo, I think it looks superb in your photo, but in reality (looking at the Drop Sheet colour on their website) it's not far enough away from my present hallway colour.

    D A,

    The chalky emulsion (Estate)
Is almost impossible to touch in.

That's why I thought the Modern would be more appropriate on high traffic areas.

I suggest maybe getting a sample pot, £4.50 tho

    Prefer 'Little Greene' paints myself!;)

  17. Yup, 'chalky' was a mistake with two wee kids...

I think I'll pass on the tester pot as the colour - in reality - is quite light and similar to what I currently have.

It does look fab in your pic - in fact exactly what I'd like for my own hall - but that must in part be down to the shading and light sources. On my monitor the 'Drop' looks like a mid-shade, dusky mossy grey - yum.

On their website, it's clearly like a natural 'hessian' cloth colour?
