    Hi,

I have just used some ptfe tape and fernox water hawk jointing compound on a joint for my shower. How long do I need to leave this before I can turn the water supply back on. Is there a set/cure time?

    Cheers!

    Jim

Oh and if it does weep, is it possible to 'nip' up? Or is it disassemble and a start again?

    Tah, jim

if it weeps you can give it another nip up if there's enough thread left, if the threads all gone, wind out and repack cos if you overtighten a 'allready home' fitting, it could crack,
