I wish someone in the UK would supply a decent motor for a router table. Only seem to be available in america.

A lot of peeps other side of the pond, use the motors from the Bosch 161712,a 2HP motor for home made router tables, there are several other versions of the Bosch motor used.

Porter Cable have the 75182 motor for the router table, we are a poor second for power tools compare to the states.

Do Bosch do a speed adjustable version? Or is it possible to add a speed controller?

I wish I had time to look into this http://magicmolder.com/

A moulder head you can fit to table saws overcoming some of the power and width issues of router tables and spindle molders. Not sure if it will fit on our nobbled UK saws but looks an intersesting if not dangerous concept.

The Xact Router lift is the same as the Porter Cable version, so will accept the following motors.

    • Bosch 1616
    • Bosch 1617
    • DeWalt 610
    • DeWalt 616
    • DeWalt 618
    • Bosch 1618
    • Porter-Cable 690 series
    • Porter-Cable 890 Series

That's my concern is that the rotation on this is far different from router tables and moulders and the chance of a board becoming air borne is quite high
