Hi all. I'm fitting a kitchen worktop above a washer and dryer with a wall either side. What's the best way to secure the worktop to the walls as there will be no units for it to sit on. Thanks in advance

Screw a wooden batten onto the walls either side, and along the back if necessary, and plonk the worktop on them.

The batten can be quite slim, may 1/2" or so with an inch or two height so it doesn't protrude much.

Putting 6" battens around the wall area to support the worktop would be a good idea. It'll support the worktop while you put the wall fixings on and make sure it is level.
If the battens are in the way, simply remove them after installing.

Or if you could be adventurous and try these on the back wall

And brackets just on the front edge

Depending on your work top surface you may have to seal the underside especially with the moisture from the machines

Four white furniture blocks. Quick and neat and should sit above the appliance.
