    Hi All,

Im just about to tile a floor in my new conservatory, i have over-boarded the original chipboard floor with ply and have come against an issue.

I have removed the existing pvc door sill and would like to tile up to the door but there is a difference in floor hight(the brickwork where the sill used to sit is lower).

Now obviously i need to bring this up to floor level but my question is what should i use?

Would tile adhesive be ok? Or maybe cement?

    Thanks
    Jamie

That's hardly anything mate, just fill any voids with sand/cement, prime the floor area with SBR and tile away, building it up at the slight dip with adhesive, just check the levels and flatness first to avoid problems later on.

As Jord says. Typical of the obstacles you find when doing such a job :)

Go for a good adhesive as well, I've just used TM Ultimate on a wood floor, seems to have worked well, it's 30 quid a bag as opposed to the normal 15-20 quid stuff, but if it works, it's worth the extra.

And their TM Grout 3000 is another good product.
