    Hi,

I want to convert a single garden tap into two outlets so I can use tap while the wife uses the other connected to the hose.

I was proposing to install a single in-line check valve before branching out to two taps (without check valves); however, I am now wondering whether it is somehow better to stick with check valves in the taps themselves? Would the latter be better when both taps are in use?

Grateful for any thoughts and suggestions.

    Cheers

To comply with water regs you need a double check valve on the pipework inside the property before the external tap/s whether or not you have taps fitted with or without check valves. I'd fit the check valve inside to prevent water contamination and taps with check valves as you are fitting two taps one with a hose fitted to prevent any back flow Incase anyone drinks from the outside tap
