I have got an dated gas fire surround which I don't want to disturb. I just need to replace the back and hearth with non combustible material to comply with gas safety. It is an odd size. Is there any tradesmen that can cut the marble to size and fit these for me. If anyone can give me approximate price for job. Thanks

You will need to go to a specialised company with your exact measurements as marble is not something that is easily cut on site. They may even insist on a site visit first to make a template. A hearth has to be a specific height and depth to clear any combustable materials. Also I dont see how the hearth and back panel are going to be fitted without disturbing the surround, as the back panel has to sit behind it and is then sealed against the wall to prevent products of combustion entering the room.
You will need to get a Gassafe installer and a marble manufacturer on site together.
