    Hi Guys,

I just got a new oven and the current pipe doesn't and the back of the oven has the same end as the hose (both male screw threads). Is it possible to buy a small connector to join the pipe to the back of the oven?

    Thanks
    Ed

  2. And you can take that as a disparaging comment on your planned involvement with gas, or the sound you could be making a few days after having 'cowboy'ed this job.

I only asked for advice on whether a connector existed. I didn't say I would be fitting it did I?

tis hard to tell what you need from your description - perhaps you can identify it from the BES site

if you do decide to DIY, please ensure you have the competence to do the task safely

    Hi

Thanks for the reply. It looks like a female x female equal bsp taper.

Do you need to use ptfe tape on the threads?

I have worked on HP air, Hydrogen gas at 3,500 psi & even worked for Air Products as a technician, but even I am not allowed to work on domestic gas....Just don't touch it !!!!
