Hi Anyone bought a GSM alarm system? I could buy a wireless Yale 1 but finding it difficult feeding the telephone wire to the alarm unit!?
GSM will work fine - provided you have good coverage from your chosen provider. Have a serious think about the alarm though. There are ones with different qualities and capabilities - some are aimed at the DIY market and there are also higher spec units which are not significantly different in price. From experience, I would suggest looking at Texecom (www.texe.com) who have high quality products and an excellent tech support line. Their units can support wired or wireless sensors, can have PSTN, GSM or IP as the alerting interface.
