I know I'm not a trained professional so I'm not intending to tackle every job, that hopefully limits the tool expenditure. At the minute the main jobs that I'll be tacking is painting the sitting room, painting the kitchen cupboards, fitting a new kitchen benchtop and building an outdoor log store for the fireplace we want fitted. One of the main reasons we're buying a house is so I can have a garage for tinkering on bike and building things lol
You want a gun for expanded foam, then the Bondit Pro is excellent, had mine nearly 7 years ,cost about £10, see this thread. http://community.screwfix.com/threads/unblocking-foam-gun.177841/#post-1500856
Ignoring dynamite as a ridiculous answer,(have you seen the price!?) PVA as a golden ticket is also on the list.
The best paste table, I have ever had came from LIDLs/ALDIs. 3m+ long, melamine surface, aluminium tube legs, really solid, built in measuring marks and folds down neatly and about £29.99 much better than some of the wood ones I had over the years.
I would do it the other way, Decide on what room you want to start with first and then buy the tools for that. e.g. bathroom plumbing tools adjustable grips, spanners, tile cutters etc.
I absolutely DESPISE the stuff... Have recently fully stripped an entirely papered house and now have to replaster 90% of it... Plus adhesive residue is an absolute pig to get rid of! It should be banned!
