Hi community. I need to remove these 3/4 x 1/2 inch bushes that were used to reduce for previous taps that had 1/2 inch threads. New taps are 3/4 so I need to try and get these bushes out without chopping out the wall and backplate. Anyone got any tips for getting em out? Thanks
Usual way is jam something in the hole (the handle of a pair of old style footprint grips often worked) but if you don't fancy hammering things in to avoid tile damage the simplest way would be to clean the threads put a bit of superglue on a 1/2 inch BSP plug screw it in leave to set then unscrew. https://www.castrads.com/accessories/05-bsp-black-iron-plug/?gclid=CPSg7Zy__8QCFQLMtAodZ2UAvw PS the one shown is 4 quid that is a bit more than you would expect to pay, but that was the first link I came across!
