    Some progress today.

Insulated between the battens, covered with a vapour barrier and plaster boarded! Absolutely shattered! Wired the sockets too. Wires were too short as you know so had to us spliceline connectors of which a couple were a bit loose so i taped them all with electrical tape. Plasterer is calling next week to skim it!

I don't think i used enough screws in the plasterboard!! lol :D

Guys, and gals, i have ended up with under half an inch gap on the far right. Should i fill that with easifil before the plasterer lands?

Expanding foam, wait til dry then cut flush, they'll skim over it.

Bung any old cack in if it's only half inch, I'd personally use foam as it's bulletproof in my experience of using it but it's your house mate.

I dont have any to foot so will easifill do?

Yeah, but fill in a couple of layers rather than one big blob, as long as most of its filled the scrim and skim will cover over no problem.

I trust you didn't screw all those screws in by hand, but rather used a brace 'n' bit.

I filled the gap with easifil earlier. Just wait for plasterer next week now and then i can put skirting back and paint eventually!
