    Hello all

I have two walls that have old plaster from top to bottom
At the bottom it has a gap of about a foot that is open to the wood pillars
I am thinking to shave the plasterboard so it will be flush with the old plaster.
With doing that will it make it weak when applying the plaster
As it will only leave 5mm at most

    Any ideas ?
    Photos will be uploaded shortly

    Thanks

No idea how big the area is, but you could use galvanised metal mesh lath instead of the plasterboard.
Nail to the timbers & apply a coat of plaster, when dry apply second coat to finish.
    Use thistle multi finish plaster.

P:S: Ain't no photo in dropbox, I prefer photo bucket, only thing I can get to work.:D
