Hi all I have some cables grouped together and Have been paintented over I can't see where they have been clipped.

Is there any paint remover which won't damage the insulation. I need to change an architrave behind and tidy it all up. They have used singles also.

    Thanks in advance

What type of paint, if emulsion then a green scaley pad & some warm soapy water will soon remove it, will also work on other water based paints.

What is the reason for wanting to remove the paint?

  4. If the cables are single insulated 6491x, then they either need to get renewed with appropriate cable, or put in containment for the length of their run.

The 6491X cable could be bonding etc.

If they are earth wires although rough then he does not have a problem.

Im guessing it's gloss, cables bunched together.

Yes Looking to replace the cables where I can and put tidy in trunking. But does have a separate Earth.

It has been clipped then painted over
