howdens or magnet

I had a howdens acc to start with but found that they werent very helpfull and prices were quite a bit higher. Ive had a magnets acc for years now and i cant knock them.. sometimes have to order stuff in but usually only takes a week most things they stock. Friendly helpfull staff.

 

howdens started off reasonable a d very helpful, last few years their prices have increased greatly, I find myself using magnets a lot more now.

 

I've had a Howdens account for years, I have found them getting more and more expensive year on year. Looking at trying magnet myself. Used to be really cheap on hardware but so expensive now and screwfix is well cheaper, so much for trade only. Example: Briton 2003V door closer £73 odd in Howdens and £52.99 in screwfix.

 

Kinda says it all when screwfix is cheaper than howdens... ha ha
