Have Howdens put their kitchen prices up in the last 6 months? I've priced up the exact same kitchen as I had a few months ago and everything is at least 10% more expensive. The discount shows the same figure so apparently it isn't down to that. I have asked them but still waiting for a response.
Wickes did the same last weekend. Two weeks ago Wickes introduced a Trade card offering 10% off across the board. The following weekend timber prices went up byy 10%
I went to Wickes the other week for some CLS and there must of been at least a hundred lengths of bent timber where peeps had sorted through and put the carp stuff to one side. Makes me wonder what they do with all the unsaleable stuff ??
they deliver it and hope you don't notice immediately but then have no means of getting it back to a store
The sheet materials in Wickes are alright, but as far as timber goes i steer clear. Almost everything is either bent or has chunks missing. Can't complain though as I have the trade discount.
There are lots of promotions on at the moment. The B&Q club (not Tradepoint(less) or Diamond) have promotions - spend £25 and get £5 off, equivalent to 20% and can be used on their promotions as well. Sadly no way the local builders merchants can compete with every day items B&Q/Wickes/Screwfix/Tool Station supply
The word trade in trade point is a joke you get every body going in there from families to pensioners not really trade I think !!
Trade point doesn't allow non members through the tills and non members do not get the same discount on items such as plaster, timber, paint
I have accounts at TP & Wickes and have a Howdens near me but don't get any marketing or literature from Howdens
