You engineers haven't explained how to plumb this system. Because you don't know.

Why would you fit a second combination valve if its connected in series? Or are you suggesting piping the hot water through the combination valve?

    Megaflows answer to this question....

"Can a Megaflow unvented cylinder be used as a solar pre heat booster to a second unvented cylinder? "

    In simple terms No
You cannot use preheated water on unvented cylinders

Worcester Bosch on the same question.....

It is possible to have one cylinder feeding another cylinder, they would effectively be in series with each other. It’s important that the cylinders have sufficient overheat protection to cut power to the boiler if they overheat.

Each cylinder will require its own expansion vessel. Please ensure all cylinder manufactures instructions are followed as well as all other relevant regulations.

    Same question to Telford...

"Hi, Telford cant advise installing pre-heated systems due to legionnaires- if an installer installs a pre-heated cylinder then they must make sure the cylinder is heated by the immersion heater every 3 to 5 days to 65C. All unvented cylinders need expansion vessels as to store volume."

Some say it can be done, some say it can't. One thing is certain. You won't find a schematic on how to do it in "Series".

A thermal store seems the only option.
