Installation of induction hob over an oven

    Hi,

I’ve had Whirlpool ACM847/BA installed recently - the manual (screenshot attached below) mentions the following:

“For the distance between the underside of the appliance and the separator panel below, observe the dimensions given in the figure.” - the distance is 20mm.

As I have an oven installed directly beneath the induction hob, the manual mentions the following:

“If there is an oven beneath the hob, do not install the separator panel.”

The manual makes no mention of needing to honour the 20mm space between the induction hob and an oven if not using a separator panel.

So my question is, do I need to honour this 20mm space between the induction hob and the oven when not using a separator panel? As is currently installed, there’s a 10mm space between the induction hob and the oven. Should I call someone in to modify the cabinet to ensure a 20mm space?

    Thanks.
